Looking as fresh as if she were on the flight line at her former home base, Bergstrom AFB in Texas, this former 67th TRW RF-4C awaits processing at AMARC. Both the 67th TRW and Bergstrom AFB eventually proved to be victims of the "peace dividend" and are now historical footnotes to the end of the Cold War.

The picture of the airplane is great,but there is too much equipment in the background and you have to look close to determine what is which.otherwise"great shot" i was crew -chief on this f-4 75-83

This is the Recce that i was the crewchief of for the last 2 years before leaving the Air Force. It was a unique airplane due to it having many different parts than later models and some parts where harder to get.
Seeing it again brings back some bittersweet memories. Thank you for posting it.
