Powered by the beefy 450hp Pratt & Whitney R-985 radial engine, the Valiant was the primary basic trainer for USAAF pilots in WWII. One of 10,375 built, this example was delivered to the AAF in February 1944 to the 3034th AAF Base Unit (Basic Pilot School) Gardner Field, Taft, CA. Now preserved at the Warner Robins 'Museum of Aviation'.
