Most commonly associated with the US involvement in the Vietnam War, the Huey performed a veriety of missions there. The Huey was used as a troop transport to drop soldiers off, it was used as a medivac to airlift the wounded to fields hospitals, it was used to rescue downed pilots, and was equipped with rocket-packs and mini-guns and by used as a gun ship for close infantry support missions. The Huey is still in service in most major air forces in the world.
