Just a question, are these planes not in use any more? And if so, why aren't they being recycled back into the metal that was used to make these aircraft?

To the last poster - I believe that sometimes they do use scrap metal from the planes, but many are kept in case they're needed for future use. Hence the reason they keep them in such arid climates. Often times you'll see white plastic over the engine intakes and other areas to prevent dust from getting in there and creating problems...just in case!
