Why is a red star on the tail of nmber 3 in the picture?

The inclusion of an agressor "MiG-29" makes this shot stand out among other boneyard shots. Wouldn't be the same shot without it.

The red star probably means it was used training scenarios, I guess to simulate the MiGs of the old era.
