A hot summer afternoon at the NAS Atlanta transit line finds this Desert Storm veteran at rest. From VA-155 Silver Foxes (newly formed in 1987 after an A-7 unit of the same name disestablished in 1977), NAS Lemoore, CA, this aircraft carries quite a scoreboard. The rudder shows symbols of 37 tanks, 21 boats, and two tanker missions, plus the name Desperado. The camel symbol beneath the cockpit shows 55 missions; apparently this old warhorse saw more than its share of combat!
