”The K-16B is an experimental VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft developed prior to the preeminence of the heavy-left helicopter. Basically Grumman Jrf-5 with a special wing which tilted to 50 degrees, large flaps, and cyclic “rotor-props”, the aircraft was designed to ride vertically before the transition to horizontal flight. This is the only example of its type. “ The New England Air museum sign. (Nikon Coolpix 5000)
