What a great shot, on three fronts. 1. Wonderful lighting. 2. You froze perfectly the instant the tires start painting it on the runway. 3. You captured the human interest element in those two perfectly lit faces. The way I see it, there are two kids looking out those windows. It is just that one is about 30 years older than the other :)

Even now, after so many times of flying, touchdown is the favorite moment of mine! It is interesting to see at least two other guys on board of this Tu134 have the same feeling as I do. (Ali Aminzadeh)

Its kinda sad that the 2 people that seem the most interested in the landing have the worst seats to see out of the plane. :(

That what is called - spirit of the moment. On the other words - photography. Congrats! Fyodor.

Five-star photo! That young boy is doing exactly what boys of his age around the world do i.e. looking out of aircraft window and enjoy viewing!

Just amazing photo!!! Thanks to author! The face of child makes this photo outstanding. Yes, I remember myself at that age :) That is funny there are two faces – small child and big child in front of him :)

For me, sitting by the wing would be the best place. That's how I usually look like when I'm looking out the window during takeoff and landing :).

Great and unique shot. It highlights one design difference between Boeings/Airbuses and Russian aircraft - on western aircraft rear wheels touch down first, while on Russian aircraft it is the front wheels that hit the ground first. The advantage is that the front wheels clear the runway of any water on wet runways and the rear wheels get a better grip - and sooner - for braking.

The comments from the previous visitor is not true. Boeing 767's gear touches down just like the one seen here.

This is a very spectacular and unique picture getting the great message accross what flying is all about for any human being whether in front at the flight desk or as a pax in the rear. The fact that it is a Tu-154 adds to this quite considerably. Thank you for sharing.

Over wing seats are always the best. I'm sure it was the spoilers coming up that drew he attention of the man and the kid at the rear.
