A visitor from - posted Fri November 2, 2012: I spoke to Mr Lacy in San Francisco during fleet week and he said he used to fly a DC-3 in and out of Catalina 17 times a day when he first hired on as a co-pilot. This aircraft is owned and operated by Clay Lacy aviation, but is painted in United colors. The name on the front is Mainliner O'Connor. The interior is plush like a personal jet, but period, art deco. He even put on some Bing Crosby music when he let us look around. I guarantee you it is in better shape now than when it was new. No kidding. That's how well they maintain it. He says it's also the youngest DC-3 flying.
