Very interesting. The gear doors are ....not quite closed.

A visitor from United States posted Mon April 11, 2011:
...and, y'know, I'd be satisfied to see this on a 744. The 741 Friend Ship in this livery was my first widebody. Thanks for the memories!

Nice retro jet for United

A visitor from - posted Thu April 7, 2011:
Great livery and it looks even better up close in person. but it should have been painted on a B757 like they originally told employees it would be instead of an A320.

A visitor from United States posted Thu April 7, 2011:
Why isn't this on the 757?

A visitor from United States posted Thu April 7, 2011:
Looks great! I love this livery so much; it would look nicer on a 757, though, whose longer fuselage would better reflect the classic DC-8s that wore it so well.

A visitor from United States posted Thu April 7, 2011:
Nice, but wish this was on the only fleet type that is still in UA's (not including Co's) fleet that operated when this livery was around........The 747! Hopefully they can do the late 70's to 80's orange livery on a 757!

A visitor from United States posted Thu April 7, 2011:
Oh my, that brings back great memories of these colors on their 727-22C's. Fantastic! Yes, I'm old :)

A visitor from Germany posted Thu April 7, 2011:
Honestly, this paint is better

A visitor from United States posted Thu April 7, 2011:
Love the French flag's colours all over the plane!
Nice tribute to Airbus...
Air France should replicate this livery...

A visitor from United States posted Thu April 7, 2011:
Cool. It looks like a toy.

A visitor from France posted Thu April 7, 2011:
Would like to see that on a 737 but great on A320 anyway!

A visitor from United States posted Thu April 7, 2011:
Why can't they just use this livery, it is beautiful

A visitor from Sweden posted Thu April 7, 2011:
A plane i like, a livery i love in a great shot. 5*

A visitor from Australia posted Thu April 7, 2011:
They should have put this Livery on one of their Boeing 747s.

A visitor from Germany posted Thu April 7, 2011:
Love retro birds! Stunning livery!

A visitor from - posted Thu April 7, 2011:
This Livery is Stunning! I cannot believe UA can't see that this bold retro livery is 10X better than their original! Should have been on a 737 however, we understand that they need to get them into continental livery before changing into a retro for a day! Happy Birthday United :)

A visitor from United States posted Thu April 7, 2011:
Unbelievably beautiful. To the previous post: what exactly is 'questionable' about this?

A visitor from - posted Thu April 7, 2011:
Take's me back to the days when United was the main airline out of Cleveland, when I was a kid in the 1960's. I think it's great!

A visitor from - posted Thu April 7, 2011:
Lovely but stop doing this on the Airbuses! Just like USAirways... c'mon now a 757 or 777 or 747. just about any other aicraft would wear these special liveries better!

A visitor from - posted Thu April 7, 2011:
This photo is definitely 5 stars for the overall clarity and background color. Perfection.

A visitor from Germany posted Thu April 7, 2011:
Probabaly the best lokking a320 in the world !!!

A visitor from - posted Thu April 7, 2011:
Ok that shoud be, more or less, how an AA A320s looks like... :-) great pic 5*

A visitor from Germany posted Wed April 6, 2011:
Looks great! fits perfectly well on the A320!

A visitor from Germany posted Wed April 6, 2011:
Great picture, great livery, great airline! Is it just me or are most retro liveries more attractive then the regular ones? I would love to see some 747s and 777 painted in this livery!

A visitor from United States posted Wed April 6, 2011:
Would of looked much better on a 757 as orginally planned.

A visitor from - posted Wed April 6, 2011:
I feel strangely nostalgic! Lovely photo of a lovely livery! -dragongirl66

Looks great! I just wish they used the rainbow scheme... :-\
Maybe we'll see that again someday

A visitor from United States posted Wed April 6, 2011:
Magnificent! simply amazing! looks very good on the A320

A visitor from United States posted Wed April 6, 2011:
Oh fooey. Classic schemes suits this bird well! Wonderful splash of color against a steel gray-looking sky caught in a pretty clean and fully airborn configuration. Excellent job! 5*

A visitor from United States posted Wed April 6, 2011:
This is a great photo of a questionable paint scheme. why wasn't this done when they flew the 737's? great angle, great shot, beautiful light...

A visitor from - posted Wed April 6, 2011:
AMAZING!!! All UA planes should sport a retro livery! Love the bling and stars!

A visitor from - posted Wed April 6, 2011:
I'm not so sure on how great this new retro looks. However, just like the new OX/AS or UA/CO schemes it'll grow on me! Excellent photo.
