A visitor from United States posted Wed September 9, 2009: Wow, what a shot, very nice captured! And to the replyer below me, yes the smaller planes have to go first, due to wake turbulence. If you let the bigger plane go first, the smaller one can get in some serious problems because he can get caught in the wake of the big one. Vice versa is less of a problem, because the smaller plane produces less wake and the bigger one can handle more.
A visitor from - posted Sat August 8, 2009: Do they always let teh smaller plane go first?? in all the dual shots ive seen at ksfo, the smaller airplane goes first, but shouldnt the larger one go ahead since it requires hight landing speeds?? great photo
