Had this view out the window myself in 08, had no idea of the tandem runway, so you can imagine my surprise! lol

I always find it scary when i see a date on a picture just a few months before Spetember 11, 2001. People had no clue what was going to happen in 3 months in this picture =[

Wow, what a shot, very nice captured! And to the replyer below me, yes the smaller planes have to go first, due to wake turbulence. If you let the bigger plane go first, the smaller one can get in some serious problems because he can get caught in the wake of the big one. Vice versa is less of a problem, because the smaller plane produces less wake and the bigger one can handle more.

Do they always let teh smaller plane go first??
in all the dual shots ive seen at ksfo, the smaller airplane goes first, but shouldnt the larger one go ahead since it requires hight landing speeds??
