As much as I like planes, I feel sorry for the bird, not the plane. Nice picture depicting the death of that bird, or what it left.

I doubt it dude, Despite the high speed a 747 inlet's frame is not soft enough to be dented like that by "any bird of any size"!!

No - this was certainly a bird strike. Even a small bird could do this much damage at the high speeds.
