Wow, that is a good-looking product! I haven't flown UA's J-class in years because I thought their seats were sorely behind the times, but this certainly puts them right up there with other SA leaders like Lufthansa, Swiss, ANA, AC, and dare I say, SIA? Only thing I don't care for is the rear-facing seats; I can't see that being a pleasant experience during heavy banking...

Yes, it was a comfy ride. I got the rear facing seat, that is my wife getting settled in and my son on the left who I told to "get out of the pic" so I could get this photo. It felt strange to begin with, but in the end, it was absolutely fine sitting the "wrong way"

Great shot with a nice, wide angle. It shows the product well. Having been on many UA flights featuring the new Business & First, as well as other carriers, I can say with confidence it is the best of all North & South American airlines and on par with all the european competitors. Not quite Emirates, Cathay, or Singapore, but definitely close to the top.

Nice seats, but talk about a bland cabin. I miss the 80's rainbow upholstery...

Nice insight on the new UA business class, really bringing them up to the top. only thing I wonder about is the 2-4-2 arrangement. LH currently has a 2-3-2 and I don't like the middle seat, even more chance to get one on UA. What is the advantage of the forward/reward combination? can't imagine it helps getting more seats in. os

Nice pic Andrew, however, I don't really care about the quality of business & first class cabins, since I can only dream about flying premium! What I do like about the pic is the type of the plane, the mighty 747, operated by a US carrier on a trans Atlantic route.

Great photo, but how on earth can a 2-4-2 layout be a BUSINESS CLASS product? I hate to think what their ideas for Economy are!

Good picture. It's bad enough that BA started with backward seating but this is "innovation" gone terribly wrong. Thank you for sharing this picture and helping us choose not to fly UAL.

BA knows how to do it. This UA config is awful
