This plane in this condition spoils the UA brand and the 757 plane, which is one of the best looking planes ever built in my view.
It looks scary to fly with these plane. Too sad for United airlines to let these plane in these horrible condition.
I wonder how old is this aircraft!
Thank god it's repainted! You can actually see where they put the jet bridge!
Rolled out of the paintshop yesterday, with its "new" paintjob
Its beautiful! | |
This is a shame, but anyhow, as UA is giving all its birds a new paintjob now, lets hope this one will be the very next!
Where's a "bird bath" when you need one??
Seriously yanks, what are you doing to your planes? Scrapped planes have better paintjob than this one
Actually there are several pictures of this plane looking shabby prior to this shot. C'mon UA!
It being a bit dirty is just the start, you cannot even read the titles anymore. 6 is is not that long for paint to be on an aircraft, they must have use some cheap stuff and had some acid rain with it.
No benefit of the doubt required - it's a revenue passenger flight from SJC. Aircraft paint sometimes gets like that. It doesn't have to be going to maintenance, storage or anywhere else to have a crappy paint job. UAL - paint your aircraft! It's simple - white and grey body, gold cheatline, blue tail with golden globe and the word U N I T E D on the side!
One dirty aircraft and all of a sudden united airlines is a horrible airline?? I actually think it looks good, its shows how hard this aircraft has been working and how many places it's flown.
Holy @#$% Thats one dirty 75
Folks, let's be realistic here. There is simply no way that UAL would allow this to be put in service in this condition. It simply is beyond reality. I have to agree that this aircraft must be on its way to refurbishment/painting or being parked. I doubt that there are any PAX on board. Let's give UAL a little benefit of the doubt on this one.
Eww so dirty.... bad maintenance and the gray color totally failed :/
Speechless view. Dirty, rough surfaces generates severe parasite drag. Better give that thing a wash and save some fuel already!
Probably the worst paint job in the fleet!
Not going to the boneyard, PAX on board
She may have been on her way to the desert parking lot in California or Arizona, or perhaps, she's awaiting her new Continental-United livery. They can't be this sloppy, or... can they?
I would have trouble boarding that aircraft. wow
It really made me think about how airplane are kept and maintained...
Thank you!!! Tim Canavan! (Director of cleaning) Great job of keeping United aircraft clean. You have done Jimmy Crack Corn proud!
Wowsers. I guess this is the reason the UAUA stock fell by over a buck today...
This airplane has been going places!
This picture should be part of Continental-United merger talks as an argument for retirement of United Airlines brand.
It doesn't help that one of the windows appears to be boarded up with plywood.
WOW... words can't even begin... United Somalia Airlines?
Great Catch.. What did UA do? Pull this from out of the sand and press it into service?
YUCKY ! I think the next time this a/c will visit paintshop will be soon.
Even air france look classy next to THAT thing
Ughh- United should be ashamed for not doing something about the state of the paint on this aircraft.
I agree with you Chris - it's the dirtiest aircraft I've seen in recent years too. It looks like it's been sitting out in the desert sun too long also...maybe it's been there? Mojave, Victorville maybe???
Poor plane... but great picture! *****
Great shot! It's a shame that United is representing their airline like this.
You haven't seen anything unless you actually have flown with United recently. I take coast to coast monthly, and they can still amaze me - it appears that they have elliminated any semblance of cleaning services for good.
That is one dirty plane. picture is worth thousand words
YA has anyone seen a plane wash near bye
Someone's up for a repaint...
Looks like it just went through a cloud of volcanic ash!
To have an aircraft in this condition is unacceptable. It's not even an Air France aircraft!
I think it is waiting to go to the paint shop, so they don't wash it.
Ah Ah Ah Ah ! American always critize Air France but just look at this plane !! Great shot Chris !
United should be ashamed.
Wow! Great Shot! But surely, As a leading Airline; it should want to represent their Airline on the Outside of the Aircraft aswell as the inside Cabin! (:
Ex-Victorville? | |
I disagree, not dirty, but in desperate need of a paint job. That is about 6 years worth of flying on that paint. Flying through some heavy weather too.
More dirty than Air France!
Thats truly a disgrace...
That is a disgraceful condition for any AC to be in, let alone a major legacy carrier. It looks like ready for the scrap heap. Nice catch!
Thanks for the shot... it's disappointing to see United's fleet in such terrible condition though. Seriously, this thing looks like it's done 25 years in Africa.
Shame....CO is considering a merger with UA and CO has flawless looking a/c and UA has this. Run CO run!!!
