Amazing to see all the flaps down at once!

It's always good to see everything down/extended/opened. It clearly shows the high level of complexity of this flying bird.

It's sad to see so much heavy maintenance being sent offshore. But hey, it keeps the shareholders happy, right? Why pay a union mechanic when you can pay a guy with no A&P license one tenth the wage. We ought be ashamed of ourselves. Oh yeah, nice picture.

Sad to see United outsourcing our jobs to China.

FYI to the comment below, these mechanics are fully licensed! The company is a joint venture b/w lufthansa and air china, do you think they hire mechanics without license? Use your common sense here please! Why would an airline spend much more on the same job when the economy is in a bad shape and gas prices are skyrocketing? It's better sending these jobs offshore than bankrupting the company =P

I dont see how nationality matters, a chinese mechanic is just as good as an american mechanic. as long as they get the job done, who cares where it is.

It's time that unions wake up and lose their since of "entitlement" to jobs...and realize that there are people out there willing to do the job for better terms. It's called competition...no one is entitled to work.

Everyone is entitled to work, and all workers are entitled to benefits. Take your anarcho-capitalist ideologies back to the industrial revolution.

C check maintenence for long haul international aircraft can be done in either the u.s. or foreign country. This planes' C check requirement probably happened to be due right at that time.
