"Warren Burke". Engine number 4, a Pratt-Whitney PW JT4A-3 turbojet is seen. Is DC-8 line number 2, and the first DC-8 for United Airlines. Delivery date was January 11, 1960. Other serials - N8018D with Douglas Aircraft Company - delivered to DAC on August 21, 1960. Built as DC-8-11, and cvt'd to DC-8-21 in August 1960. The DC-8-21 was also known as the DC-8B, until the DC-8-30 series was introduced. Sold to The Boeing Company, & was broken-up at IGM (Kingman).
