I feel that the beacon's shorter distance from each other towards right might mean the aircraft is accelerating backwards(its a pushback).

The fact that the lights are closer together on the right does show that the plane is coming to a stop but it is nothing special. The camera shutter catches each flash where it happens, and if the plane slows down then the flashes arent as far apart distance wise. Unfortunately there is no time dimension to this photo, its just the way cameras work.

This picture has three dimensions, whereas the third dimension is the time. You can recognize that the 757 is breaking because of the higher density of the "on top flash-light" towards the right.(Sorry, I don't know the correct technical expression for this light). Simply great!

This pic remembers me the story about the "Flying Dutchman". In the dark, moving fast, no wheels visible, it looks really as a ghost plane...
