Welcome aboard this mystery flight of the 12th of January, 1963. I thought this might be BOAC, but the all grey seats were not typical of their Gaby Schreiber designed interior. If you can fill in the gaps, please e-mail me.

Interesting to see how passengers dressed in the coach/economy cabin--suit and tie compared to today.

5 stars for being a historic jet interior color footage.

by the look, passengers seem at least european, yes, quite british, especially the three ladies in the foreground. and that gentleman in the right front looks like an actor jetting to/from the set at pinewood studios where he might have been playing "mr. kronsteen".

Do the flight attendant uniforms provide a clue to the airline? I don't recognize them, but they may hint at the answer to the question.

Maybe if you tell us the story about how did you get this picture we can help you better.
My guess is BA. The faces and the english style of dressing comes to mind.

While my best guess is British Airways, it is interesting to see how little has changed in the Economy cabin in almost 50 years.

Definitely Trans American Airlines

That looks like Air France. their seats are still like that today, so it could be air france.

Love the old Penthouse interior of the 707 - fond memories from my childhood days. The headreast fabric shape looks like what I have seen in old pictures of Qantas -338s. Lufthansa had shades of blue, if I recall. And Pan American's IFE consisted of streamlined B&W TV monitors mounted on the hat racks - at least on long-rage birds. I haven't proven much, except to show my age.

Look at the contents of the overhead bins. Now compare that to today. Back then, people just brought jackets or ladies brought their purse. Today, ugh, today....people bring the fricking kitchen sink!

Stewardesses at the back are wearing BOAC uniforms.

Fantastic photo. adds a feeling of nostalgia, when flying was like boarding the Titanic!
