 A visitor from United Arab Emirates posted Thu May 4, 2006:Yes they are big engines, the A340-500 looks like a properly proportioned aircraft compared with te A340-300 (which has "hairdryers"), note: a) All 4 engines on this aircraft are all the same size! (some people think that 2 are bigger than the other -- not true!) b) These R-R Trent engines are not the same as the CFM engines on the A340-300 - they are much bigger! | |
