Two great ex-KLM tri-holers seen sitting in a corner of Victorville, awaiting their fate as scrap-metal while already being stripped down to pieces for spare parts. The tail and winglet visible to the left belongs to PH-KCI while -KCH has no winglets, doors or engines left. Sad to see these gorgeous jets disappearing so fast.

For me, it´s too sad. In this plane I took my first flight ever (CCS-AMS in july 31st 1998). Emotions are strong. How would you feel if, let´s see, the hotel where you spend your honeymoon was demolished? Thank you very much, Anna Pavlova!

Almost 7.000 hours on these beauties, so should be about 700 on PH-KCH... brings tears to one's eyes. Thank you Anna!

Flew both of these birds on my honeymoon: one into SFO, and one back to AMS. Very odd to capture both of them in the graveyard...

This is very sad, the MD-11 doesn't seem old enough to be already torn apart. Also, the MD-11 is like the icon of KLM to me :)

We all know that it's sad to see but they did their work, it's the best end for them (no fails, no crash...). they will reborn in others planes and everythings who need steel :)

Very sad pic to see mighty MD-11 like this! On a sidenote - is it Aerosvit 767 in the right lower part of the photo? Going for scrap or waiting another airline to fly for?
