It is evident that a great deal of work is required to prepare an aircraft for storage. TWA flew its last scheduled 707 flight on October 30, 1983 as TW004 from MIA to JFK with N18710. This craft was also one of the last, operating a morning STL-MCI flight as 111, STL-MCI also on Oct 30th. Several other 707s were withdrawn during the several days previous. Here, N8738 (Del 06/69), undergoes preparation for its last flight into storage at Davis-Monthan AFB.
