A visitor from - posted Thu November 4, 2010: I was there in Laguna Brava La Rioja last month, and access to the wreck is very hazardous. I was unable to get anywhere near it, and it looks as though there less pieces of the remains thanthose in the photograph. In 1960 I was flying across the Andes in a Super C-46 for another company. Years later (in the 70 ies) I was a Captain in the B-707 in Aerolíneas Argentinas and one of our Flight Engineers with whom I flew several times had been the mechanic on the wrecked aircraft. Souls on board had been only four, the Captain, a first officer, a mechanic and a person in charge of the horses. The first officer´s son is a pilot in Aerolíneas Argentinas today-
