Can you imagine this bad boy in the "dreamliner" livery? Oh waht a sight it would be.

A visitor from Uruguay posted Wed August 30, 2006:
I wonder what livery will use? T.B.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Wed August 30, 2006:
Very crisp photo and fantastic angle on this aircraft.

In response to replies given here - I'm pretty sure Boeing did not think of how this sort of aircraft was going to look - they wanted a quick, efficient and easy way to transport their aircraft parts, and that's what they made.

It looks like a Beluga in the process of eating a 747

A visitor from United States posted Wed August 30, 2006:
Well for decades Airbus has been copying off of Boeing. Isn't it about time Boeing copies off of Airbus?

A visitor from United States posted Wed August 30, 2006:
Who cares what it looks like. As long as it gets the job done quickly and efficiently.

A visitor from New Zealand posted Tue August 29, 2006:
Great photo but it just about looks like Boeing and Airbus are in competition with each other to design the most ugly transport plane in the world... although even the Beluga looks better than this!

A visitor from Italy posted Tue August 29, 2006:
This is the terrible looking american answer to the airbus beluga.

A visitor from United States posted Tue August 29, 2006:
I still don't get it.

I'd like to see that thing in the air.

A visitor from Slovenia posted Tue August 29, 2006:
A/c is probablly very useful but sorry it is old and ugly in two words.

A visitor from Russian Federation posted Tue August 29, 2006:
I don't know what about aerodynamic concept but the major part of design and stress evaluations were performed in Russian department of Boeing - Boeing Design Center in Moscow - cheap and fast though : ))

Official roll out for the first 747QMD (Boieng Quasimodo)

A visitor from Germany posted Tue August 29, 2006:
...and they say the A380 is the ugly duckling...

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Tue August 29, 2006:
Looks like a 747 combined with a A380!!

A visitor from Poland posted Tue August 29, 2006:
Photo is good, but this plane is ugly!!!! FEEE!!!

A visitor from Australia posted Tue August 29, 2006:
Looks like a cross between an a380 and a 747

A visitor from Australia posted Tue August 29, 2006:
Boeing's answer to 'Beluga'!

A visitor from Sweden posted Tue August 29, 2006:
Airbus named thir transporter Beluga, Boing should call theirs Quasimodo.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Tue August 29, 2006:
I like this angle better!

A visitor from Thailand posted Tue August 29, 2006:
If I'm not wrong, this aircraft specially modified to deliver the 787 components (as same as Beluga use to deliver A380 parts)

She can open the tail cone sideward to load/unload the 787's fuselage.

A visitor from United States posted Tue August 29, 2006:
Good picture quality and very crisp. as far as the image itself it is great. However, this looks pretty bad ..maybe with the paint on it will look better, but in this way it just looks like they taped on some aditional aluminium on the plane ...odd shape

A visitor from Spain posted Tue August 29, 2006:
Interesting picture. But what is this project about ??
