EC-HKJ (cn 1278) This Acft was Delivered in Sept 2000 and crash landed at BIO Feb 7th 2001, so it was hardly 5 months old. Acft was damaged and after evaluation it is now known that it will never fly again. Cause of the accident was an error on the ELAC software combined with particular windshear conditions at BIO. Airbus issued a service bulletin to change the program of all Elevator and Aileron Computers on every acft of the type in the world so it wouldn't happen again. Thanks to the crew nobody was seriously injured.
