S9-DBC (cn 0G3410) Goma was getting used to the appearance of this old lady, nicknamed 'kit' ('whale') by Russians. Here the machine returns from its second sortie of the day. The plane has been withdrawn from use and was awaiting its fate at the end of an unpaved platform at Goma for while. Early January 2011 the plane has been moved to a spot away from the active ramps, and together with a DC-8, An-12 and B727 waiting for things to happen.

I had no idea where this registration came from. I looked up and learned that S9 was the prefix for aircraft registered in Sao Tomé & Principe.
To the visitor from UK: Don't forget this photograph was taken 4 years ago. 4 years of flying in Africa as a freighter can take its toll.

Shame, looks very well maintained and treated, i'd buy it to make it my home! Just buy a plot at BHD or BFS and it would be my dreamhouse!
