N134AP (cn 24134/712) Taken at the 747 Classic farewell party. PH-MCN carried out the last commercial flight that day but due to a delay it couldn't be at the ceremony. Therefore former PH-MCF attented in a stripped down colorscheme. This day also marked the end of the Flight Engineer here in the Netherlands. Martinair will continue flying the 747-400F but these classics will be missed.

Image conveys emotions at a farewell party for a great jet.
Composition is excellent and so is the lighting.

It makes me sad that this great 742 will probably be destroyed by a cheap carrier in Africa.

Because the no. 4 engine is out of view, it looks like a twin-engine 747.

I would choose a 742 over a 744 anyday. I love the classic 747 and this one looks great!

Wow, it's pretty shiny considering it's being retired, I wonder if they are going to sell it, or just to scrap it. I hope they don't scrap it, as this is a truly beautiful bird.

The colors are awesome, i think i never saw such a clean 747 in my life.

But why is there only one engine mounted on the wing?

cheers

Seems like there's only one engine on right wing.
