A visitor from Singapore posted Sat March 27, 2010:9V-SPL was later brought back into service with the same owner.
A visitor from Netherlands posted Sat March 6, 2010:What a waste of the Delta 767-300s and all the 747-400s
A visitor from Australia posted Fri October 9, 2009:Yeap, just when the new deltas receive their new livery, they are already remove from the fleet... This is to remind people that nothing last forever even solid machine such as planes.
A visitor from - posted Thu September 24, 2009:Well atleast the painters got to keep their jobs.
A visitor from - posted Sun September 6, 2009:Very sad to see the 744's. Especially with UAL n/c and SIA 744F. Kinda heart breaking. But look in the bright side guys, their souls will be reborn onto the 748i. Or they will be seeing new operators. Spirit of Manila is ordering 3 744s. :)
A visitor from - posted Wed July 1, 2009:Those are some nice delta 767's there is also a nice freshly painted Delta tail on the right
A visitor from United Kingdom posted Wed July 1, 2009:When I first saw this I thought it was someones model collection positioned very well until I looked closer. great picture, really sad sight
A visitor from Canada posted Tue June 30, 2009:I want to take a couple of them home with me, like the old DC-8's and 727 and take good care of them :(
A visitor from Hong Kong posted Tue June 30, 2009:Oh my god Cathay even put their first BCF into the desert! And it is so sad to see KA and oasis sending their old planes there...
A visitor from Colombia posted Mon June 29, 2009:Second "desert" photo I see with an Avianca plane. Too bad for the bird now resting but here in the country it means fleet renovation and new planes to fly in.
A visitor from United States posted Mon June 29, 2009:What a great capture? However, this picture does not do the size of these big birds justice. They all look like toys!!!!
A visitor from United States posted Mon June 29, 2009:Talking about that Delta airlines with the new paint scheme tail. Why would you waste money re-painting a plane that is very soon to be retired?
A visitor from Hong Kong posted Mon June 29, 2009:The NCA 742 seems to have been fitted with 400 wing fairings. An Oasis in the desert. How ironic.
A visitor from - posted Mon June 29, 2009:This is a truly amazing photo! you can clearly see the Aloha 737 on the far right of the screen! my favs are the bearly reconizable TWA aircraft, and the air india a310 right behind it. great shot! :)
A visitor from Netherlands posted Mon June 29, 2009:Makes me cry, thank you so much.
A visitor from Philippines posted Mon June 29, 2009:Can I have the Boeing 727 please? haha. such a sad sight, these birds dominated the world's skies before but now they lie and wait for their doom or maybe new owners. I hope every A/C here may fly again.
A visitor from Switzerland posted Mon June 29, 2009:Nice pic, sad sight... Regarding the DC8, guess it's an old Emery
A visitor from - posted Mon June 29, 2009:The colours of the DC-8's at the top are Emery Worldwide poster from America ;)
A visitor from New Zealand posted Mon June 29, 2009:Ae always........a class shot
A visitor from France posted Mon June 29, 2009:Nice picture. So sad about 747 the queen of the skies and other aircrafts.
A visitor from Congo, The Democratic Republic Of The posted Mon June 29, 2009:Only in this picture, 5 B744 ! Not so good news.
A visitor from Singapore posted Mon June 29, 2009:Hopefully we see them in the skies again!
A visitor from - posted Sun June 28, 2009:Very nice photo. I'd bet most of the 747-400's are waiting on room for a C-Check. What's really odd is seeing the -400 freighter in the desert. The DC-8's are in the Emery paint scheme. Its also sad to see the 743 there too. Not many left. :(
A visitor from Antigua And Barbuda posted Sun June 28, 2009:Dont worry im sure they wont let these sweet queens go to waste,im sure they will fly some day=)
A visitor from Hong Kong posted Sun June 28, 2009:Nice shot, interesting that the SQ 744F has all the titles and logo removed, almost like they don't plan to operate it again.
A visitor from - posted Sun June 28, 2009:Great photo! It's sad now, but come an economic recovery I say 9/10 planes on this picture will be flying again! The 1/10 refering to the DC-8s and 727s. Those 757s, 767s, A300s, MD-80s, and 747s have a fair amount of life left in them, and I see most, if not all of them returning to the skies. Look on the brightside! You may see hopelessness, but I see opportunity. :D
A visitor from United States posted Sun June 28, 2009:Check out the DC-8s at the top of the screen. Don't recognize the colors. I almost thought Alitalia but they wouldn't fly those relics. Also, I saw a AA A300-600 in the middle, with the paint removed. It's right above the Cathay Pacific Cargo 744.
A visitor from - posted Sun June 28, 2009:So sad to see the Queen of the Skies retire ..sigh..
A visitor from United States posted Sun June 28, 2009:The 744 in new UAL colors is odd seeing it here. DC-9s don't belong in a graveyard, they belong in the newest NWA colors flying around DTW or MSP.
A visitor from Singapore posted Sun June 28, 2009:First time seeing my nation's airline having a plane in storage. Lots of planes still look airworthy, except the one to the most top left hand corner. I guess it's an A300? Now, it makes me feel like flying one back home!
A visitor from United States posted Sun June 28, 2009:An interesting colllection of aircraft. I've always thought that if these aircraft could talk to, oh the stories they could tell of where they've been. An exquisite photo Sam as always coming from you...
A visitor from United States posted Sun June 28, 2009:I think that 75 is ex Avianca
A visitor from United States posted Sun June 28, 2009:Who opereated the 757 right under Oasis HongKong?
A visitor from United States posted Sun June 28, 2009:My guess is that many of these planes are not yet officially retired and could be returned to service relatively quickly with a new owner or better economy. I've seen many of those UA 737's make their last take-off from SFO. Is that an old TWA 767 in the upper left & an AAL A300 above Cathay?
A visitor from Canada posted Sun June 28, 2009:Wow, why would delta paint their planes with their new livery and then retire them!, such a sad sceene specially thinking that they are pretty much "new" aircraft 747-400´s, 67, 57. not the usual dc-9 that you would expect in a graveyard!
