This unusual beauty with the name of Annushka (pet name for girls called Anna) was part of the voluntary paramilitary DOSAAF (or ДОСААФ, Добровольное Общество Содействия Армии, Авиации и Флоту that translates to 'Voluntary Society of Assistance to the Army, the Air Force and the Navy') wing of the Soviet Armed Forces based in Ashgabat, now part of Turkmenistan.

Are you sure DOSAAF based only in Ashgabat?
That was a all-USSR organisation.
Despite everything, nice to see An-2 in original soviet livery in CA.

And additional detail. Annushka is pet name from Anna.
There no Russian name Annush.

Spaces the Annush part and I have now changed it to Anna. DOSAAF was all over the USSR but the wing where this particular airplane was based, used to be located in Ashgabat.
