After service in WWII in England, Sri Lankan James Peter Obeysekara elected to buy a war surplus machine and fly her via 31 stops and on a 103 hour 30 minute journey home (London to Ratmalana). Damaged beyond flyable repair in a fatal training takeoff accident in 1971, the fantastic SLAF museum technical team has brought her back to pristine static display condition..

These aircrafts/air crew were all destroyed in aviation accidents. The crews walked away in some but not in all. RIP.
