The Vulcan commences its balletic spiral climb immediately after take-off at the RAF Waddington Air Show. RAF Waddington was one of the original Vulcan V-Bomber stations, hosting three squadrons from 1957 until 1984. The station maintains a static Vulcan exhibit on the eastern side of the airfield, so there were two Vulcans resident for the weekend of the air show.
