I can't tell who's in the pilot seat here, but this was Peter Tomarken's plane (host of Press Your Luck). He was a volunteer for a non-profit organization that transported medical patients to UCLA for treatment, and he was on his way to pick one up when he crashed and died. RIP

This aircraft has crashed on march 13th during climb-out from Santa Monica Airport after experiencing engine trouble.
