Mfd 1969. Re-positioning at the end of another day assisting the NSW Rural Fire Service spot, fight and extinguish fires in the Sydney area. Callsign being used was "Firebird 227". This chopper was originally purchased by Ansett Airlines as the personal transport of founder Sir Reginal Ansett. Long live the memory of Ansett Australia.

So this is what happened to VH-AND. My dad, Frank Mifsud, was in charge of the Ansett Heliport on the Yarra, and I grew up flying in this chopper. Good to see it's still flying. Nearly 30 years since I last flew on her, when the company was taken over. Good old memories.
