A visitor from United States posted Mon April 24, 2006: This was one of our A/C. I work for Atlas Air Inc. this was a cargo 747-200 classic tail # N808MC. It is sad to see it now, but it was at the end of it's economic life and its scrapping lengthened the lives of a few more of our classic fleet (which we are replacing with 747-400's and 747-8's). As we move on and replace the few classics we have left, this was a necessary measure. It served well, but it was its time to go. Actually I know a few crew members who have the cargo door, nose cone, ect. and I've been inside this A/C during one of its final checks. You might see a few more of our classics looking like this soon.
