Very nice pic.
Newspapers here said that John Bon Jovis private jet (Boeing 707) overran a runway in Ontario.
Maybe it's that plane.

Lets hope that it might be repaired and return to fly. It would be sad to "loose" a 707 this way.

Some additional information for those who are interested:

Rockers' private jet skids off airport runway

Canadian Press

HAMILTON, Ont. — New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi discovered the true meaning of slippery when wet early Saturday when their private plane skidded off the runway at Hamilton International Airport.

At about 1:30 a.m., a private plane carrying members of Bon Jovi and their touring staff overshot the runway after landing in severe weather conditions in Hamilton, said a spokeswoman for the band.

The Boeing 707 carried 14 passengers plus flight crew and was arriving from Buffalo, NY, where the band played show on Friday night.

Why many 707`s have a different pod in engine Nº1?. Have you ever noticed this strange thing?

Nice photo. The intakes on top of the engines are for compressor air. The #1 engine pylon is different because the #1 engine on this model does not have an air compressor installed.

Very interesting shot. I was a bit surprised to see that there's a 707 that's still flying these days, especially after seeing that there are now even some 767s that have been retired and are sitting in the Mojave desert!

It must have landed long...weather wasen't bad, just damp and misty, with light fog. It's also a 10,000ft runway.
It is flying again - it flew away Jan 23, in the afternoon. Don't know whether it was replacement crew though.

Interesting photo, and interesting situation. This aircraft does not belong to Bon Jovi, is was chartered. It is operated under FAA part 125 which is not a legal charter certificate. I guess stuff happens when you cut corners and they should count themselves lucky to be alive. I'm willing to bet if it had gone down the hill it wouldn't have been as easy to escape from as the Air France Airbus with it's properly trained crew and modern escape lighting.

Ok. For the one's who doesn't know. #2,3 and 4 engine have turbocompressors installed on top of the engines used for presurisation/air conditioning and starting of the other engines. They are driven by bleed air from the engine itself. Passenger B707 are build like that. Cargo 707's have installed only on #2&#3 eng. Two TC are good enough considering there are no passengers on board.
To bad we cannot see the reg. The way I see they are preparing with a tug to tow it up. 707 is a strong airplane and should be OK.
Sharp picture though.

I worked the charter at Buffalo Niagara International Airport; Saturday, January 21, 2006, @ 0550Z when N88ZL departed, this is the exact aircraft that was carrying Bon Jovi and his crew, I jokingly told the pilot he didn't have to put the gear up for the 13 minute flight from KBUF to CYHM, I guess he listened to me.hehe
just to think, 50 more feet and this fuel laden aircraft could have ended up in a fatal mishap.

Good vantage point for the photo. It really shows the perspective of the plane's position.
For the sake of everyone's sanity though, no more "slippery when wet", "Runaway", or "Have a nice day" jokes...
although as a fan I'm glad they got through One Wild Night.
