The first thing which caught my attention when I was approaching Mojave was this 747 split in two! They have to break them up somehow, I guess.. What a pity that this one was so young too.

Those Globemasters have seen two full generations of jet transports come and go since they arrived at Mojave.

Wow...in the background the largely intact remains of some C-133 Cargomasters.....can't believe those are still around.

An aweful picture for every aviation enthousiast! I understand that aircraft need to be retired at some point, but why broken up in such 'cruel' way? It breaks my heart.. But this pic gets for stars for its informative value, namely those Globemasters in the background! Didn't know they were still around, and should definitely be preserved, as they are by now rare museum pieces! - Zoydian.
