It's too long. Out of proportion. Not as nice as the -400 sadly.

Take a good look at the new wing. Super clean aeronautical wise.

Wow...beautiful aircraft! The wings are amazing!

I think those wings really make the plane. What a gorgeous piece of technology.

That length. Even longer than a A346! Boeing nailed it by the design. This looks just gorgious with the raked wingtips, engines and the loooonnngggg body.

Does it have its own zip code? That's a Grade A Jumbo.

If there's anything to the argument that the 8 remains a more elegant design than the lumpy 380, this pic shows it. Very nice, Kevin.

I would love to park it in my living room... but it's a bit too huge... damn!

I like it when enthusiast hate on something that's been proven for 40+ years and running. granted the design maybe outdated for the 3 of you, but for others, she's still the queen of the skies...hands down!

Hating on the queen of the skies does not make a true aviation enthusiast. The A380 may be new, but the 747 has been around a lot longer and is proven to be reliable.

CanĀ“t wait to see it in FRA 2012

The beautiful 'Queen of the Skies' got a facelift. Can't wait to see her at airports around the world! Hopefully more airlines see her as a viable VLA for their fleets. Come on, UA.

Great angle in nice light for this vintage aircraft. I prefer the -400 with winglets anyday.

Boeing 747 = The ONE AND ONLY Queen of the Skies. I've flown on all variants, and hopefully will get a chance to fly on the -800i. God willing, Lufthansa will fly to KUL using this one. :D

Hard to believe that it took 40+ years to stretch the original 747-100 fuselage. Looks Good!

Beautiful airplane! A certain *ahem* rival is ugly but this just makes that one look even uglier. What clean flowing lines! And what a wing! And look at those nice engine pods with sawtooth exhaust areas! Well done Boeing. This will do well I think!

This is the great white "shark". The whale is the Airbus. I thought everybody knew that.

I disagree with anyone who says the 800 is an outdated design, in all respects it's a modern airliner.

Beauty epitomized in one picture! I very much hope to see this plane ordered by PR, CX, JL, NH, and OZ. And even 5J!

Boeing planes are gorgeous... I love the 747s and 777s. Airbus aircraft just can't match the grace and beauty of the Jumbo Jet. Hope Cathay orders some 8I's, so I can get to fly on one YVR-HKG!

No, no, this is not the "white shark". If the A380 is the "whale" the 747-8 is the "little whale". The "great white shark" is, obviously, the outstanding 787.
Great picture!.

Great shot of this most beautiful plane.
I can already imagine the Lufthansa writing on the side... that would then complete beauty to perfection.
Thanks for this plane

Always Boeing VS Airbus, try to get over it.
These are ALL fat whales, compared to CONCORDE, the ONLY real Queen of the Skies.

Great view of the wings and engines; the new curved wing tip is very elegant! The Boeing 747-8 really is 'The Queen of the Skies.'
