The fuselage may be a 747, but the landing gear is from an L-1011. Compare the MLG doors on a 747 vs. an L-1011.

No matter which plane these gears belong to, the sequence (in war of the worlds) in which Tom Cruise came out of the house and saw the wreckage and these gears is very impressive. 5 star for Spielberg and of course Mr. Domandl the photographer. (Ali Aminzadeh)
