Back behind DC-7B N4889C was an unexpected find; the rear fuselage of PB4Y-2 N6816D, which crashed and burnt out on the runway at Wenatchee, WA on July 27, 1972. The remains of the aircraft were reportedly bought by Sergio Tomassoni, who was the “T” in T&G Aviation. This aircraft was BuNo 59905 while in service with the US Navy.
