Built by De Havilland at Bankstown, NSW, in 1941 & taken on RAAF charge on 4.10.1941 as A17-421. After WW2 it was sold to Dept of Civil Aviation & converted to civil use. Regd to DCA as VH-AZL on 26.6.1947. Reregd VH-CAG 4.5.1949 & based in Perth. Sold 5.4.1960 to Gliding Association of Western Australia, and re-regd VH-TUG on 7 July 1960. Reregd VH-CKF 22.10.1965. After other owners was sold to MMA Captain Reg Adkins and his wife Shirley on 28 August 1986.
