Photographs capture history, and this photo captures a rare shot of 3 D-Day painted DC-3's aircraft parked together. The top plane "3A" 42-32832 is probably the most documented Troop Carrier aircraft flying. This aircraft dropped troops during 2 misions in Sicily "Husky", then dropped troops during the invasion of Italy "Avalanche", It then dropped the 507th on D-Day. It made 3 behind the lines missions in Holland during operation "Market Garden" (Troop Drop, Glider Pull, Supply Drop), and the last drop it made was during operation "Varsity" in Germany.
