VERY good quality! A very good one there Peter Meid..:-)

It's so sad to see that a Turkish plane is there and no one takes care of it...:-S...but that's how it is :-)

Very nice picture showing the contrast between the planes. However, I didn't understand what the guy above me means with a Turkish Plane..i didn't see any Turkish Flags

Unless that training plane is a former Turkish plane, I don´t see it either. Anyway, I´m never tired to say.. What an HUGE plane that A340-600 is!

Great shot Peter, nice view, what a contrast, one of the best airlines with the most beautiful plane in front of this carcass.

Comparing the size of these two machines shows how far aviation has come in 40 years.

P.S. The wreck is not Turkish and is ex Air Afrique. TU- is the international markings of Ivory Coast .

Hi guy, thanks for your compliments, but this is nocht a turkish plane. It is former TU-TCP from Air Afrique.

Tremendous A346,really thin and graceful plane. With THAI, passengers are just beginning an excellent trip with the nicest crew on earth. Compared to the, ha, what was it anyway, old plane, well its like Concorde versus Comet.

What a fantastic shot! The A340 is a superb aircraft, and the new Thai paint scheme looks great

Very nice comparison between the classic DC-8 and modern A340.

Just... Beautiful.

Is it just my impression that the inboard engine on the Airbus is slightly bigger and tilted down? Otherwise, nice colors!

This image is definitely worth more than a million words. Great job, Peter, in letting us see through your lense. ..I'm just wondering about the time when such a present day beauty as the A346 will sit in the DC-8 position, off the runway, covered in vegetations and all.. What aircraft would be rolling down the runway then?

Nice contrast...but I feel sorry for the DC-8, no aircraft should be treated like this.

The only parallele I can see here is the time running along those two jets - the first one is having more years, the second in the background is going to get the years in the future.

I agree planes like the DC8 at the front that people dont want anymore are like antiques, they're just a special, its beautiful, no plane deserves that, it should be able to fly into the air where it should be. Anyway the ailriner in the back lightens up the pic, good one!

This shows the contrast in size to aircraft that hit their prime 40 years ago compared to equipment that is currently in its prime. The DC-8 could never do a ZRH to BKK run without a fuel/tech stop, but I'd rather see the Thai airliner in the new livery be a B-777-300ER!

Nice shot, what a great contrast. Sad to see the DC8 rotting away. But hello beautiful. A346 is invariably the most beautiful plane ever. Good job Peter
