In 1997 company Flug Werk GmbH began work on Fw190 using original plans and other information from the war. Production number continued from where the German war machine left off. In November 2005 made first flights and with her new owner French warbird collector Christophe Jacquard flew first-time on 7 May 2009. It was registered as F-AZZJ flying in the markings of Fw190A-4, W.Nr. 734, "Black 1". The aircraft flown by Leutnant Horst Hannig by II Gruppe of JG 2 "Richthofen" at Tricqueville, France in 1943. Unfortunately on 12 June 2010 aircraft ditched into the bay near Hyeres due to engine failure after dog fight rehearsal with Spitfire F-AZJS. The pilot Marc Mathis was unhurt, rescued by jetskier.
