Former Spain Air Force Buchon built by Hispano Aviacion in Seville in 1959. Served by Ala 7 at Tablada and El Corpero with code 7-54. It was one of 27 purchased airplanes by Spitfire Productions for use in the making of the 1968 film “Battle of Britain” and was one of the 17 airworthy Buchons represent Bf 109E "yellow 10". Later was owned by the Confederate Air Force in Detroit, flew with registration N9938 and then being placed on static display. In 1996 was transfered back to UK, and after restoration first-time flown in 2006 as "red 1". In 2010 with the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain it was repainted in livery it wore in 1968 during the making of the film "The Battle of Britain".
