A visitor from United States posted Fri January 13, 2006:Excellent profile of the 119 trimmed up in level flight -- notice that the cowl flaps are closed and the aircraft is in close proximity to the aircraft the photo was taken from -- probably close formation flight with photo from lead aircraft cargo hold. Formation flights in 119's were usually v formation of 3 aircraft at fairly low levels. The cargo doors on this aircraft could be removed, creating a bob-tail configuration for cargo drops as needed. The aircraft shown is configured for hauling passengers or paratroops with the doors remaining attached. | |
