A visitor from United States posted Tue November 15, 2005:I'm new here. What a fantastic shot -- great timing. Thrust reversers engaged just as the nose gear is ready to kiss Auckland hello! The 777 is an extremely graceful bird. I've had the pleasure of flying the AA San Jose, CA to Tokyo, Narita non-stop many many times (mostly in business class, and occasionally in First) and never cease to marvel at how smooth this airplane can be. So why am I looking at the spanking brand new ANZ plane? I've bought a couple of seats on it! My partner and I took advantage of a buy one, get one free First Class (ANZ calls it Business Premier) ticket offer, so we split the difference on one first class ticket and got another for free. Heading over in February of 2006. The tickets show a 777 as our bird for the non-stop trip to Auckland (from SFO). SPECIAL REQUEST: If anyone happens to catch any other images of this bird in flight, or at the gate, please post them -- there are only three ANZ 777 images available right now. Would love to see more so I can dream about my upcoming vacation!

A visitor from New Zealand posted Wed November 9, 2005:We done Air NZ, Hopefully one day you'll acquire the LR version, So you can introduce routes such as AKL-JFK/EWR/ORD and of course AKL-PER_LHR/CDG/FRA, etc... and make history by flying the very first non-stop Kangaroo Route, I know it's quite challenging but I'm sure it'll be very successful venture!! Just be brave and go for it ;)
