SE-YUS (cn CAH-016) It is really recommended to stay on the extended centerline during approach, don't you think? Those trees don't look inviting to a pilot.

The pilot should be really experienced and smart to land in a runway like that.

When i saw this photo i was very surprised. This is an airfield very close to where i live. When i was a little boy i used to stand right at the threshold and watch the airplanes pass by. They came so close you could almost touch them!

This photo captures the essence of general aviation and why flying is so addictive.

Perfect shutter speed, slow enough to blur the prop, yet fast enough to freeze all movement except the near trees. Did the pilot is hedge to the left centerline for the photographer or anticipated wind changes as he clears the trees ahead?

Really nice pilot´s view! Does it have "snow devices" to land there?

A visitor from Brazil posted Sun April 9, 2006:
Fantastic! That's the real flying. I think is not easy doing a VFR flight in this kind of weather! :-)

What a beautiful little airfield, the trees covered in snow, i would name this picture 'coming home for christmas', great job daniel.

A visitor from United States posted Thu January 19, 2006:
This is absolutely not a standard runway for plane landing and even for the smallest size plane. It is also suitable for only lighttime landing with very very clear sight. Take care, pilot. ~O~

Great shot Daniel! Nice angle and great of an airfield I've never even heard of... Really nice with all the snow too!

A gorgeous photo of a beautiful swedish day, doing what many of us can only dream of. And there's this month's wallpaper.

That real flying. Not the easy ILS CAT III approach where computers control your aircraft. Very nice. Wish I was on board.
