N306GB is an ex-Arrow Air L-1011 and was damaged during Hurricane Wilma.

"This Tristar was actually being prepared for delivery to a customer when Hurricane Wilma ripped through Miami. The category 3 winds turned the Tristar completely around, damaging several pieces of ground equipment in the process. Note the damage to the number 1 engine. I have to wonder if it will ever fly again." This is not my quote but from the photographer who took a picture of the same plane.

The aircraft suffered substantial damage to the engine because of the hurricane (Wilma) that blasted through Miami.

WOW! Sad to see the plane in such a state. Hurricane Wilma caused the damage in 2005 in Miami. Check out photo ID # 0958653 for another shot of the plane. Great shot!

Doing some search, I've found this: Hurricane Wilma caught Miami somewhat by surprise in its intensity. This Tristar was actually turned completely around, causing it to collide with several pieces of ground equipment. There is considerable damage visible to the #1 engine. This plane has some time stored @ KMIA

Hmm, the only thing I can think of is that the plane landed without the landing gear.

Looks like the damage was caused by Katarina (click on the reg, the 2nd photo seems to provide the explanation). What a waste, but there is no stopping Mother Nature. Reminds me of the LAB 767 that briefly became "the world's largest weather vane" at MIA, victim of the same hurricane.
