Looks fearsome! Is that a bulgarian insignia on the rudder? Would love to have more info on how this plane made its way to Texas.

Yes, most definitely Bulgarian AF insignia on the tail. This MiG-23, formerly of Bulgaria's AF, was sold to the Cold War Museum in Texas a couple of years ago. For museum purposes all original insignia and camouflage were preserved, although the machine now has an US registration. An honorable fate for this Cold War veteran.

I would also like to know how a bulgarian air force mig 23 (especialy a airworthy example) made its way to texas of all places!
