BEEzzare!

A visitor from Thailand posted Mon September 28, 2009:
This is an Airbus's experment. They can provide addition lift to the wing and save some fuel cost, BEE careful to put them equally on both wings to keep a balanced lift. If this experiment is success, they may put the BEEs as an option to the airlines.

A very unique shot! 5 stars

Which do you think they like better - takeoffs or landings?

A visitor from United States posted Tue September 26, 2006:
I guess they needed to BEE somewhere faster than flying there themselves. I suppose they were occupying Seat 1 BEE?

A visitor from United States posted Tue September 26, 2006:
Very bizarre photo to say the least! Good thing I don't work around the aircraft as I am allergic to bees and need immediate medical attention if ever stung by just one!

A visitor from United States posted Tue September 26, 2006:
This is very common in the Southwest. I have seen it happen on five or six occaisons in Arizona. We have called out beekeepers to smoke them off of the planes right before departure. On a side note, throwing Avgas on a bee is a quick way to kill them.

A visitor from United States posted Tue September 26, 2006:
I don't see what all the buzz is about. It's just a BEEautiful shot......

A visitor from United States posted Tue September 26, 2006:
Unique picture. You were lucky to have had the opportunity to BEE there and see this.

As a joke: They would have had to cancel that flight for security reasons because those bees did not pass through the security checkpoint.

A visitor from Germany posted Tue September 26, 2006:
They just skipped boarding in order to be off the plane first after arrival. :)

A visitor from Canada posted Tue September 26, 2006:
What a great idea - all those little wings might help increase lift, and at the same time provide free honey for the economy pax ;)

A visitor from United States posted Tue September 26, 2006:
I wonder what is atracting them? Are they just mad that the lights may have been on?

A visitor from Germany posted Mon September 25, 2006:
